Top to bottom - USS Constellation (CV-64) - USS Leahy (CG-16) - USS Takelma (ATF-113). USS Takelma ATF 113 A great photo showing the relative size of an ATF alongside the the Aircraft Carrier USS Constellation CV 64 and the Cruiser USS Leahy CG 16 in the South China Sea circa 1978/79. (Contributed by Captain Bernie Flank) I'm quite sure it was taken  in December 1978 somewhere between Subic Bay, the Equator,  and Singapore -- just before I left the Leahy...... I downloaded it off the NAFTS website (USS Takelma ATF-113) so that's where the credit goes. - Ref: http://www.nafts.net/Latest%20photos.htm I was aboard the Leahy when the photo was taken. Also because I was on a sister ship of that Fleet Tug during the late 1960s. The Constellation battle group (including Leahy) was deployed from Subic Bay that December (1978), just prior to the Shah of Iran being overthrown. We stayed on "standby" in the vicinity of Singapore and the Melacca Straits until I tranferred off the ship in early January at Singapore and caught USAF hops back to the States.
