USS Leahy Tipping Point........

I don't know if anyone has mentioned how the Leahy came close to her end in 1966...... It always seemed for the evening meal the ship would be put on a chow course. It always seemed to do a lot more rolling during the evening meal. And it was believed there was a competion between the officers to see who could get the biggest roll out of her. Anyway one night she took a 40 some degree roll to starboard and then hung there and shuddered for it seems like an eternity until she finally righted herself. Mike Weigel STG2 1965-1967
